If you’re a DJ, you’ve no doubt bookmarked Beatport as your go to destination for buying electronic music tracks. Parent company SFX Entertainment has rebranded and divided Beatport into two new sites: Beatport Pro, where DJ’s can purchase music directly, and Beatport, a new free dance music streaming service. The company made significant changes to the website with a focus on browsing and discovering new music, where every song can be streamed in its entirety for free and if the listener likes the track, it’s easily available for download on Beatport Pro.

Included with the launch is the addition of a Shows tab on both the web and in Beatport's free mobile apps on iOS and Android, which we’re excited to share is powered by Bandsintown! This will allow fans to scan concert listings relevant to the electronic music community, search for nearby shows based on location, make a calendar by favoriting upcoming gigs and connect to ticket purchasing outlets directly – using the largest database of live events available.
